Surah At Tur

بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ

  • At Tur Ayah 1
    وَٱلطُّورِ ١ By Mount ?ûr!
  • At Tur Ayah 2
    وَكِتَـٰبٍ مَّسْطُورٍ ٢ And by the Book written
  • At Tur Ayah 3
    فِى رَقٍّ مَّنشُورٍ ٣ on open pages ?for all to read?!
  • At Tur Ayah 4
    وَٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْمَعْمُورِ ٤ And by the ?Sacred? House frequently visited!
  • At Tur Ayah 5
    وَٱلسَّقْفِ ٱلْمَرْفُوعِ ٥ And by the canopy raised ?high?!
  • At Tur Ayah 6
    وَٱلْبَحْرِ ٱلْمَسْجُورِ ٦ And by the seas set on fire!
  • At Tur Ayah 7
    إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَٲقِعٌ ٧ Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will come to pass—
  • At Tur Ayah 8
    مَّا لَهُۥ مِن دَافِعٍ ٨ none will avert it—
  • At Tur Ayah 9
    يَوْمَ تَمُورُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوْرًا ٩ on the Day the heavens will be shaken violently,
  • At Tur Ayah 10
    وَتَسِيرُ ٱلْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا ١٠ and the mountains will be blown away entirely.
  • At Tur Ayah 11
    فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ١١ Then woe on that Day to the deniers—
  • At Tur Ayah 12
    ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ ١٢ those who amuse themselves with falsehood!
  • At Tur Ayah 13
    يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا ١٣ ?It is? the Day they will be fiercely shoved into the Fire of Hell.
  • At Tur Ayah 14
    هَـٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ ١٤ ?They will be told,? “This is the Fire which you used to deny.
  • At Tur Ayah 15
    أَفَسِحْرٌ هَـٰذَآ أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ ١٥ Is this magic, or do you not see?
  • At Tur Ayah 16
    ٱصْلَوْهَا فَٱصْبِرُوٓاْ أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُواْ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ‌ۖ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ١٦ Burn in it! It is the same whether you endure ?it? patiently or not. You are only rewarded for what you used to do.”
  • At Tur Ayah 17
    إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ ١٧ Indeed, the righteous will be in Gardens and bliss,
  • At Tur Ayah 18
    فَـٰكِهِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَـٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَـٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ١٨ enjoying whatever their Lord will have granted them. And their Lord will have protected them from the torment of the Hellfire.
  • At Tur Ayah 19
    كُلُواْ وَٱشْرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـــَٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ١٩ ?They will be told,? “Eat and drink happily for what you used to do.”
  • At Tur Ayah 20
    مُتَّكِــِٔينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّصْفُوفَةٍ‌ۖ وَزَوَّجْنَـٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ ٢٠ They will be reclining on thrones, ?neatly? lined up ?facing each other?. And We will pair them to maidens with gorgeous eyes.
  • At Tur Ayah 21
    وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَـٰنٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَآ أَلَتْنَـٰهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍ‌ۚ كُلُّ ٱمْرِىِٕۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ ٢١ As for those who believe and whose descendants follow them in faith, We will elevate their descendants to their rank, never discounting anything ?of the reward? of their deeds. Every person will reap only what they sowed.
  • At Tur Ayah 22
    وَأَمْدَدْنَـٰهُم بِفَـٰكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ ٢٢ And We will ?continually? provide them with whatever fruit or meat they desire.
  • At Tur Ayah 23
    يَتَنَـٰزَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَّا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ ٢٣ They will pass around to each other a drink ?of pure wine,? which leads to no idle talk or sinfulness.
  • At Tur Ayah 24
    ۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَّهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَّكْنُونٌ ٢٤ And they will be waited on by their youthful servants like spotless pearls.
  • At Tur Ayah 25
    وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ٢٥ They will turn to one another inquisitively.
  • At Tur Ayah 26
    قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِىٓ أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ ٢٦ They will say, “Before ?this reward? we used to be in awe ?of Allah? in the midst of our people.
  • At Tur Ayah 27
    فَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَـٰنَا عَذَابَ ٱلسَّمُومِ ٢٧ So Allah has graced us and protected us from the torment of ?Hell’s? scorching heat.
  • At Tur Ayah 28
    إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ‌ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٢٨ Indeed, we used to call upon Him ?alone? before. He is truly the Most Kind, Most Merciful.”
  • At Tur Ayah 29
    فَذَكِّرْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ ٢٩ So ?continue to? remind ?all, O Prophet?. For you, by the grace of your Lord, are not a fortune-teller or a madman.
  • At Tur Ayah 30
    أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِۦ رَيْبَ ٱلْمَنُونِ ٣٠ Or do they say, “?He is? a poet, for whom we ?eagerly? await an ill-fate!”?
  • At Tur Ayah 31
    قُلْ تَرَبَّصُواْ فَإِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ ٣١ Say, “Keep waiting! I too am waiting with you.”
  • At Tur Ayah 32
    أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَـٰمُهُم بِهَـٰذَآ‌ۚ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ ٣٢ Or do their ?intelligent? minds prompt them to this ?paradox?? Or are they ?just? a transgressing people?
  • At Tur Ayah 33
    أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُۥ‌ۚ بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ ٣٣ Or do they say, “He made this ?Quran? up!”? In fact, they have no faith.
  • At Tur Ayah 34
    فَلْيَأْتُواْ بِحَدِيثٍ مِّثْلِهِۦٓ إِن كَانُواْ صَـٰدِقِينَ ٣٤ Let them then produce something like it, if what they say is true!
  • At Tur Ayah 35
    أَمْ خُلِقُواْ مِنْ غَيْرِ شَىْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْخَـٰلِقُونَ ٣٥ Or were they created by nothing, or are they ?their own? creators?
  • At Tur Ayah 36
    أَمْ خَلَقُواْ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ‌ۚ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ ٣٦ Or did they create the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no firm belief ?in Allah?.
  • At Tur Ayah 37
    أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْمُصَۣيْطِرُونَ ٣٧ Or do they possess the treasuries of your Lord, or are they in control ?of everything??
  • At Tur Ayah 38
    أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ‌ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُم بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ ٣٨ Or do they have a stairway, by which they eavesdrop ?on the heavens?? Then let those who do so bring a compelling proof.
  • At Tur Ayah 39
    أَمْ لَهُ ٱلْبَنَـٰتُ وَلَكُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ ٣٩ Or does He have daughters ?as you claim?, while you ?prefer to? have sons?
  • At Tur Ayah 40
    أَمْ تَسْــَٔلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ ٤٠ Or are you ?O Prophet? asking them for a reward ?for the message? so that they are overburdened by debt?
  • At Tur Ayah 41
    أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ ٤١ Or do they have access to ?the Record in? the unseen, so they copy it ?for all to see??
  • At Tur Ayah 42
    أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا‌ۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ هُمُ ٱلْمَكِيدُونَ ٤٢ Or do they intend to scheme ?against the Prophet?? Then it is the disbelievers who will fall victim to ?their? schemes.
  • At Tur Ayah 43
    أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَـٰهٌ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ‌ۚ سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ٤٣ Or do they have a god other than Allah? Glorified is Allah far above what they associate ?with Him?!
  • At Tur Ayah 44
    وَإِن يَرَوْاْ كِسْفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُواْ سَحَابٌ مَّرْكُومٌ ٤٤ If they were to see a ?deadly? piece of the sky fall down ?upon them?, still they would say, “?This is just? a pile of clouds.”
  • At Tur Ayah 45
    فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَـٰقُواْ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ ٤٥ So leave them until they face their Day in which they will be struck dead—
  • At Tur Ayah 46
    يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْــًٔا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ ٤٦ the Day their scheming will be of no benefit to them whatsoever, nor will they be helped.
  • At Tur Ayah 47
    وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ عَذَابًا دُونَ ذَٲلِكَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٤٧ Also, the wrongdoers will certainly have another torment before that ?Day?, but most of them do not know.
  • At Tur Ayah 48
    وَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا‌ۖ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ ٤٨ So be patient with your Lord’s decree, for you are truly under Our ?watchful? Eyes. And glorify the praises of your Lord when you rise.
  • At Tur Ayah 49
    وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَإِدْبَـٰرَ ٱلنُّجُومِ ٤٩ And glorify Him during part of the night and at the fading of the stars.

الطور which is spelled Surah At Tur in english has meaning The Mount is placed at number 52 in the Quran. This surah that contains 49 number of ayah, started on page 523 & ends on page 525 in the Holy Quran.

الطور is part of & given to prophet Muhammad as the number 76 in the order of Quran revelation.
