- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 1إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ ١ When the Inevitable Event takes place,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 2لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ٢ then no one can deny it has come.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 3خَافِضَةٌ رَّافِعَةٌ ٣ It will debase ?some? and elevate ?others?.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 4إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ رَجًّا ٤ When the earth will be violently shaken,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 5وَبُسَّتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ بَسًّا ٥ and the mountains will be crushed to pieces,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 6فَكَانَتْ هَبَآءً مُّنۢبَثًّا ٦ becoming scattered ?particles of? dust,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 7وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَٲجًا ثَلَـٰثَةً ٧ you will ?all? be ?divided into? three groups:
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 8فَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ ٨ the people of the right, how ?blessed? will they be;
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 9وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَشْــَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَشْــَٔمَةِ ٩ the people of the left, how ?miserable? will they be;
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 10وَٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّـٰبِقُونَ ١٠ and the foremost ?in faith? will be the foremost ?in Paradise?.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 11أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ١١ They are the ones nearest ?to Allah?,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 12فِى جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ١٢ in the Gardens of Bliss.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 13ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ١٣ ?They will be? a multitude from earlier generations
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 14وَقَلِيلٌ مِّنَ ٱلْأَخِرِينَ ١٤ and a few from later generations.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 15عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّوْضُونَةٍ ١٥ ?All will be? on jewelled thrones,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 16مُّتَّكِــِٔينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَـٰبِلِينَ ١٦ reclining face to face.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 17يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَٲنٌ مُّخَلَّدُونَ ١٧ They will be waited on by eternal youths
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 18بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ ١٨ with cups, pitchers, and a drink ?of pure wine? from a flowing stream,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 19لَّا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنزِفُونَ ١٩ that will cause them neither headache nor intoxication.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 20وَفَـٰكِهَةٍ مِّمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ ٢٠ ?They will also be served? any fruit they choose
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 21وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ ٢١ and meat from any bird they desire.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 22وَحُورٌ عِينٌ ٢٢ And ?they will have? maidens with gorgeous eyes,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 23كَأَمْثَـٰلِ ٱللُّؤْلُوِٕ ٱلْمَكْنُونِ ٢٣ like pristine pearls,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 24جَزَآءَۢ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ ٢٤ ?all? as a reward for what they used to do.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 25لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا ٢٥ There they will never hear any idle or sinful talk—
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 26إِلَّا قِيلاً سَلَـٰمًا سَلَـٰمًا ٢٦ only good and virtuous speech.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 27وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ مَآ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ ٢٧ And the people of the right—how ?blessed? will they be!
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 28فِى سِدْرٍ مَّخْضُودٍ ٢٨ ?They will be? amid thornless lote trees,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 29وَطَلْحٍ مَّنضُودٍ ٢٩ clusters of bananas,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 30وَظِلٍّ مَّمْدُودٍ ٣٠ extended shade,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 31وَمَآءٍ مَّسْكُوبٍ ٣١ flowing water,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 32وَفَـٰكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ ٣٢ abundant fruit—
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 33لَّا مَقْطُوعَةٍ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍ ٣٣ never out of season nor forbidden—
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 34وَفُرُشٍ مَّرْفُوعَةٍ ٣٤ and elevated furnishings.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 36فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا ٣٦ making them virgins,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 35إِنَّآ أَنشَأْنَـٰهُنَّ إِنشَآءً ٣٥ Indeed, We will have perfectly created their mates,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 37عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًا ٣٧ loving and of equal age,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 38لِّأَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ٣٨ for the people of the right,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 39ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٣٩ ?who will be? a multitude from earlier generations
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 40وَثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ ٱلْأَخِرِينَ ٤٠ and a multitude from later generations.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 41وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ مَآ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ ٤١ And the people of the left—how ?miserable? will they be!
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 42فِى سَمُومٍ وَحَمِيمٍ ٤٢ ?They will be? in scorching heat and boiling water,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 43وَظِلٍّ مِّن يَحْمُومٍ ٤٣ in the shade of black smoke,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 44لَّا بَارِدٍ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ ٤٤ neither cool nor refreshing.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 47وَكَانُواْ يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ ٤٧ They used to ask ?mockingly?, “When we are dead and reduced to dust and bones, will we really be resurrected?
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 46وَكَانُواْ يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى ٱلْحِنثِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٤٦ and persisted in the worst of sin.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 45إِنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ قَبْلَ ذَٲلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ ٤٥ Indeed, before this ?torment? they were spoiled by luxury,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 48أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ ٤٨ And our forefathers as well?”
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 49قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلْأَخِرِينَ ٤٩ Say, ?O Prophet,? “Most certainly, earlier and later generations
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 50لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَـٰتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ ٥٠ will surely be gathered ?together? for the appointed Day.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 51ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبُونَ ٥١ Then you, O misguided deniers,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 52لَأَكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرٍ مِّن زَقُّومٍ ٥٢ will certainly eat from ?the fruit of? the trees of Zaqqûm,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 53فَمَالِــُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ ٥٣ filling up ?your? bellies with it.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 54فَشَـٰرِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْحَمِيمِ ٥٤ Then on top of that you will drink boiling water—
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 55فَشَـٰرِبُونَ شُرْبَ ٱلْهِيمِ ٥٥ and you will drink ?it? like thirsty camels do.”
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 56هَـٰذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ ٥٦ This will be their accommodation on the Day of Judgment.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 57نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَـٰكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ ٥٧ It is We Who created you. Will you not then believe ?in resurrection??
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 58أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تُمْنُونَ ٥٨ Have you considered what you ejaculate?
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 59ءَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْخَـٰلِقُونَ ٥٩ Is it you who create ?a child out of? it, or is it We Who do so?
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 60نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ ٦٠ We have ordained death for ?all of? you, and We cannot be prevented
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 61عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمْثَـٰلَكُمْ وَنُنشِئَكُمْ فِى مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ ٦١ from transforming and recreating you in forms unknown to you.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 62وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ٦٢ You already know how you were first created. Will you not then be mindful?
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 63أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَحْرُثُونَ ٦٣ Have you considered what you sow?
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 64ءَأَنتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلزَّٲرِعُونَ ٦٤ Is it you who cause it to grow, or is it We Who do so?
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 65لَوْ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ حُطَـٰمًا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ ٦٥ If We willed, We could simply reduce this ?harvest? to chaff, leaving you to lament,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 66إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ ٦٦ “We have truly suffered a ?great? loss.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 67بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ ٦٧ In fact, we have been deprived ?of our livelihood?.”
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 68أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلْمَآءَ ٱلَّذِى تَشْرَبُونَ ٦٨ Have you considered the water you drink?
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 69ءَأَنتُمْ أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنزِلُونَ ٦٩ Is it you who bring it down from the clouds, or is it We Who do so?
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 70لَوْ نَشَآءُ جَعَلْنَـٰهُ أُجَاجًا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ ٧٠ If We willed, We could make it salty. Will you not then give thanks?
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 71أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِى تُورُونَ ٧١ Have you considered the fire you kindle?
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 72ءَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنشِــُٔونَ ٧٢ Is it you who produce its trees, or is it We Who do so?
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 73نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَـٰهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَـٰعًا لِّلْمُقْوِينَ ٧٣ We have made it ?as? a reminder ?of the Hellfire? and a provision for the travellers.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 74فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٧٤ So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Greatest.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 75۞ فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَٲقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ ٧٥ So I do swear by the positions of the stars—
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 76وَإِنَّهُۥ لَقَسَمٌ لَّوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ ٧٦ and this, if only you knew, is indeed a great oath—
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 77إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرْءَانٌ كَرِيمٌ ٧٧ that this is truly a noble Quran,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 78فِى كِتَـٰبٍ مَّكْنُونٍ ٧٨ in a well-preserved Record,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 79لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُطَهَّرُونَ ٧٩ touched by none except the purified ?angels?.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 80تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ٨٠ ?It is? a revelation from the Lord of all worlds.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 81أَفَبِهَـٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدْهِنُونَ ٨١ How can you then take this message lightly,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 82وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ ٨٢ and repay ?Allah for? your provisions with denial?
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 83فَلَوْلَآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلْحُلْقُومَ ٨٣ Why then ?are you helpless? when the soul ?of a dying person? reaches ?their? throat,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 84وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍ تَنظُرُونَ ٨٤ while you are looking on?
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 85وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ ٨٥ And We are nearer to such a person than you, but you cannot see.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 86فَلَوْلَآ إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ ٨٦ Now, if you are not subject to Our Will ?as you claim?,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 87تَرْجِعُونَهَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ ٨٧ bring that soul back, if what you say is true.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 88فَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ ٨٨ So, if the deceased is one of those brought near ?to Us?,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 89فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍ ٨٩ then ?such a person will have? serenity, fragrance, and a Garden of Bliss.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 90وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ٩٠ And if the deceased is one of the people of the right,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 91فَسَلَـٰمٌ لَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ٩١ then ?they will be told,? “Greetings to you from the people of the right.”
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 92وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ٩٢ But if such person is one of the misguided deniers,
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 93فَنُزُلٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ ٩٣ then their accommodation will be boiling water ?to drink?
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 94وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ ٩٤ and burning in Hellfire.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 95إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ ٩٥ Indeed, this is the absolute truth.
- Al Waqi’ah Ayah 96فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٩٦ So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Greatest.
الواقعة which is spelled Surah Al Waqi'ah in english has meaning The Inevitable is placed at number 56 in the Quran. This surah that contains 96 number of ayah, started on page 534 & ends on page 537 in the Holy Quran.
الواقعة is part of & given to prophet Muhammad as the number 46 in the order of Quran revelation.
