- An Naba’ Ayah 1عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ١ What are they asking one another about?
- An Naba’ Ayah 2عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٢ About the momentous news,
- An Naba’ Ayah 3ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ ٣ over which they disagree.
- An Naba’ Ayah 4كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ ٤ But no! They will come to know.
- An Naba’ Ayah 5ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ ٥ Again, no! They will come to know.
- An Naba’ Ayah 6أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِهَـٰدًا ٦ Have We not smoothed out the earth ?like a bed?,
- An Naba’ Ayah 7وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا ٧ and ?made? the mountains as ?its? pegs,
- An Naba’ Ayah 9وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا ٩ and made your sleep for rest,
- An Naba’ Ayah 8وَخَلَقْنَـٰكُمْ أَزْوَٲجًا ٨ and created you in pairs,
- An Naba’ Ayah 10وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا ١٠ and made the night as a cover,
- An Naba’ Ayah 11وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا ١١ and made the day for livelihood,
- An Naba’ Ayah 12وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا ١٢ and built above you seven mighty ?heavens?,
- An Naba’ Ayah 13وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا ١٣ and placed ?in them? a shining lamp,
- An Naba’ Ayah 14وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُعْصِرَٲتِ مَآءً ثَجَّاجًا ١٤ and sent down from rainclouds pouring water,
- An Naba’ Ayah 15لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا ١٥ producing by it grain and ?various? plants,
- An Naba’ Ayah 16وَجَنَّـٰتٍ أَلْفَافًا ١٦ and dense orchards?
- An Naba’ Ayah 17إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَـٰتًا ١٧ Indeed, the Day of ?Final? Decision is an appointed time—
- An Naba’ Ayah 20وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا ٢٠ and the mountains will be blown away, becoming ?like? a mirage.
- An Naba’ Ayah 19وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَٲبًا ١٩ The sky will be ?split? open, becoming ?many? gates,
- An Naba’ Ayah 18يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًا ١٨ ?it is? the Day the Trumpet will be blown, and you will ?all? come forth in crowds.
- An Naba’ Ayah 21إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا ٢١ Indeed, Hell is lying in ambush
- An Naba’ Ayah 22لِّلطَّـٰغِينَ مَـَٔـابًا ٢٢ as a home for the transgressors,
- An Naba’ Ayah 23لَّـٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحْقَابًا ٢٣ where they will remain for ?endless? ages.
- An Naba’ Ayah 24لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا ٢٤ There they will not taste any coolness or drink,
- An Naba’ Ayah 25إِلَّا حَمِيمًا وَغَسَّاقًا ٢٥ except boiling water and ?oozing? pus—
- An Naba’ Ayah 26جَزَآءً وِفَاقًا ٢٦ a fitting reward.
- An Naba’ Ayah 27إِنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًا ٢٧ For they never expected any reckoning,
- An Naba’ Ayah 28وَكَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِنَا كِذَّابًا ٢٨ and totally rejected Our signs.
- An Naba’ Ayah 29وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَـٰهُ كِتَـٰبًا ٢٩ And We have everything recorded precisely.
- An Naba’ Ayah 30فَذُوقُواْ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا ٣٠ ?So the deniers will be told,? “Taste ?the punishment?, for all you will get from Us is more torment.”
- An Naba’ Ayah 31إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا ٣١ Indeed, the righteous will have salvation—
- An Naba’ Ayah 32حَدَآئِقَ وَأَعْنَـٰبًا ٣٢ Gardens, vineyards,
- An Naba’ Ayah 33وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًا ٣٣ and full-bosomed maidens of equal age,
- An Naba’ Ayah 34وَكَأْسًا دِهَاقًا ٣٤ and full cups ?of pure wine?,
- An Naba’ Ayah 35لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا كِذَّٲبًا ٣٥ never to hear any idle talk or lying therein—
- An Naba’ Ayah 36جَزَآءً مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابًا ٣٦ a ?fitting? reward as a generous gift from your Lord,
- An Naba’ Ayah 37رَّبِّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِۖ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا ٣٧ the Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything in between, the Most Compassionate. No one will dare speak to Him
- An Naba’ Ayah 38يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ صَفًّاۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا ٣٨ on the Day the ?holy? spirit and the angels will stand in ranks. None will talk, except those granted permission by the Most Compassionate and whose words are true.
- An Naba’ Ayah 39ذَٲلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمُ ٱلْحَقُّۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ مَـَٔـابًا ٣٩ That Day is the ?ultimate? truth. So let whoever wills take the path leading back to their Lord.
- An Naba’ Ayah 40إِنَّآ أَنذَرْنَـٰكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيبًا يَوْمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلْكَافِرُ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى كُنتُ تُرَٲبَۢا ٤٠ Indeed, We have warned you of an imminent punishment—the Day every person will see ?the consequences of? what their hands have done, and the disbelievers will cry, “I wish I were dust.”
النبإ which is spelled Surah An Naba' in english has meaning The Announcement is placed at number 78 in the Quran. This surah that contains 40 number of ayah, started on page 582 & ends on page 583 in the Holy Quran.
النبإ is part of & given to prophet Muhammad as the number 80 in the order of Quran revelation.
