- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 1ٱقْرَأْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ١ Read, ?O Prophet,? in the Name of your Lord Who created—
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 2خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ ٢ created humans from a clinging clot.
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 3ٱقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْأَكْرَمُ ٣ Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous,
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 4ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَ بِٱلْقَلَمِ ٤ Who taught by the pen—
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 5عَلَّمَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ ٥ taught humanity what they knew not.
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 6كَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَيَطْغَىٰٓ ٦ Most certainly, one exceeds all bounds
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 7أَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسْتَغْنَىٰٓ ٧ once they think they are self-sufficient.
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 8إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجْعَىٰٓ ٨ ?But? surely to your Lord is the return ?of all?.
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 9أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يَنْهَىٰ ٩ Have you seen the man who prevents
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 12أَوْ أَمَرَ بِٱلتَّقْوَىٰٓ ١٢ or encourages righteousness?
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 11أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ ١١ What if this ?servant? is ?rightly? guided,
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 10عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰٓ ١٠ a servant ?of Ours? from praying?
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 13أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ ١٣ What if that ?man? persists in denial and turns away?
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 14أَلَمْ يَعْلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰ ١٤ Does he not know that Allah sees ?all??
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 15كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمْ يَنتَهِ لَنَسْفَعَۢا بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ ١٥ But no! If he does not desist, We will certainly drag him by the forelock—
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 16نَاصِيَةٍ كَـٰذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ ١٦ a lying, sinful forelock.
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 17فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُۥ ١٧ So let him call his associates.
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 18سَنَدْعُ ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ ١٨ We will call the wardens of Hell.
- Al ‘Alaq Ayah 19كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَٱسْجُدْ وَٱقْتَرِب ۩ ١٩ Again, no! Never obey him ?O Prophet?! Rather, ?continue to? prostrate and draw near ?to Allah?.
العلق which is spelled Surah Al 'Alaq in english has meaning The Clot is placed at number 96 in the Quran. This surah that contains 19 number of ayah, started on page 597 & ends on page 597 in the Holy Quran.
العلق is part of & given to prophet Muhammad as the number 1 in the order of Quran revelation.
