- Al Qamar Ayah 21فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ٢١ Then how ?dreadful? were My punishment and warnings!
- Al Qamar Ayah 22وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ٢٢ And We have certainly made the Quran easy to remember. So is there anyone who will be mindful?
- Al Qamar Ayah 23كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِٱلنُّذُرِ ٢٣ Thamûd rejected the warnings ?as well?,
- Al Qamar Ayah 24فَقَالُوٓاْ أَبَشَرًا مِّنَّا وَٲحِدًا نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذًا لَّفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ وَسُعُرٍ ٢٤ arguing, “How can we follow one ?average? human being from among us? We would then truly be misguided and insane.
- Al Qamar Ayah 25أَءُلْقِىَ ٱلذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنۢ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌ ٢٥ Has the revelation been sent down ?only? to him out of ?all of? us? In fact, he is a boastful liar.”
- Al Qamar Ayah 26سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَدًا مَّنِ ٱلْكَذَّابُ ٱلْأَشِرُ ٢٦ ?It was revealed to ?âli?,? “They will soon know who the boastful liar is.
- Al Qamar Ayah 27إِنَّا مُرْسِلُواْ ٱلنَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَّهُمْ فَٱرْتَقِبْهُمْ وَٱصْطَبِرْ ٢٧ We are sending the she-camel as a test for them. So watch them ?closely?, and have patience.
- Al Qamar Ayah 28وَنَبِّئْهُمْ أَنَّ ٱلْمَآءَ قِسْمَةُۢ بَيْنَهُمْۖ كُلُّ شِرْبٍ مُّحْتَضَرٌ ٢٨ And tell them that the ?drinking? water must be divided between them ?and her?, each taking a turn to drink ?every other day?.”
- Al Qamar Ayah 29فَنَادَوْاْ صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ ٢٩ But they roused a companion of theirs, so he dared to kill ?her?.
- Al Qamar Ayah 30فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ٣٠ Then how ?dreadful? were My punishment and warnings!
- Al Qamar Ayah 31إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَٲحِدَةً فَكَانُواْ كَهَشِيمِ ٱلْمُحْتَظِرِ ٣١ Indeed, We sent against them ?only? one ?mighty? blast, leaving them like the twigs of fence-builders.
- Al Qamar Ayah 32وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ٣٢ And We have certainly made the Quran easy to remember. So is there anyone who will be mindful?
- Al Qamar Ayah 33كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطِۭ بِٱلنُّذُرِ ٣٣ The people of Lot ?also? rejected the warnings.
- Al Qamar Ayah 34إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍۖ نَّجَّيْنَـٰهُم بِسَحَرٍ ٣٤ We unleashed upon them a storm of stones. As for ?the believers of? Lot’s family, We delivered them before dawn
- Al Qamar Ayah 35نِّعْمَةً مِّنْ عِندِنَاۚ كَذَٲلِكَ نَجْزِى مَن شَكَرَ ٣٥ as a blessing from Us. This is how We reward whoever gives thanks.
- Al Qamar Ayah 36وَلَقَدْ أَنذَرَهُم بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْاْ بِٱلنُّذُرِ ٣٦ He had already warned them of Our ?crushing? blow but they disputed the warnings.
- Al Qamar Ayah 37وَلَقَدْ رَٲوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيْفِهِۦ فَطَمَسْنَآ أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ٣٧ And they even demanded his angel-guests from him, so We blinded their eyes. ?And they were told,? “Taste then My punishment and warnings!”
- Al Qamar Ayah 38وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُم بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ ٣٨ And indeed, by the early morning they were overwhelmed by an unrelenting torment.
- Al Qamar Ayah 39فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ٣٩ ?Again they were told,? “Taste now My punishment and warnings!”
- Al Qamar Ayah 40وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ٤٠ And We have certainly made the Quran easy to remember. So is there anyone who will be mindful?
- Al Qamar Ayah 41وَلَقَدْ جَآءَ ءَالَ فِرْعَوْنَ ٱلنُّذُرُ ٤١ And indeed, the warnings ?also? came to the people of Pharaoh.
- Al Qamar Ayah 42كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُمْ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍ مُّقْتَدِرٍ ٤٢ ?But? they rejected all of Our signs, so We seized them with the ?crushing? grip of the Almighty, Most Powerful.
- Al Qamar Ayah 43أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٌ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ ٤٣ Now, are you ?Meccan? disbelievers superior to those ?destroyed peoples?? Or have you ?been granted? immunity ?from punishment? in divine Books?
- Al Qamar Ayah 44أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌ مُّنتَصِرٌ ٤٤ Or do they say, “We are all ?a? united ?front?, bound to prevail.”?
- Al Qamar Ayah 45سَيُهْزَمُ ٱلْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ ٤٥ ?Soon? their united front will be defeated and ?forced to? flee.
- Al Qamar Ayah 46بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ ٤٦ Better yet, the Hour is their appointed time—and the Hour will be most catastrophic and most bitter.
- Al Qamar Ayah 47إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ وَسُعُرٍ ٤٧ Indeed, the wicked are ?entrenched? in misguidance, and ?are bound for? blazes.
- Al Qamar Ayah 48يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِى ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُواْ مَسَّ سَقَرَ ٤٨ On the Day they will be dragged into the Fire on their faces, ?they will be told,? “Taste the touch of Hell!”
- Al Qamar Ayah 49إِنَّا كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَـٰهُ بِقَدَرٍ ٤٩ Indeed, We have created everything, perfectly preordained.
- Al Qamar Ayah 50وَمَآ أَمْرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٲحِدَةٌ كَلَمْحِۭ بِٱلْبَصَرِ ٥٠ Our command is but a single word, done in the blink of an eye.
- Al Qamar Ayah 51وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَآ أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ٥١ We have already destroyed the likes of you. So will any ?of you? be mindful?
- Al Qamar Ayah 52وَكُلُّ شَىْءٍ فَعَلُوهُ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ ٥٢ Everything they have done is ?listed? in ?their? records.
- Al Qamar Ayah 53وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍ وَكَبِيرٍ مُّسْتَطَرٌ ٥٣ Every matter, small and large, is written ?precisely?.
- Al Qamar Ayah 54إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَنَهَرٍ ٥٤ Indeed, the righteous will be amid Gardens and rivers,
- Al Qamar Ayah 55فِى مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٍ مُّقْتَدِرِۭ ٥٥ at the Seat of Honour in the presence of the Most Powerful Sovereign.
- Al Qamar Ayah 1ٱقْتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلْقَمَرُ ١ The Hour has drawn near and the moon was split ?in two?.
- Al Qamar Ayah 2وَإِن يَرَوْاْ ءَايَةً يُعْرِضُواْ وَيَقُولُواْ سِحْرٌ مُّسْتَمِرٌّ ٢ Yet, whenever they see a sign, they turn away, saying, “Same old magic!”
- Al Qamar Ayah 3وَكَذَّبُواْ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْۚ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ ٣ They rejected ?the truth? and followed their own desires—and every matter will be settled—
- Al Qamar Ayah 4وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ ٤ even though the stories ?of destroyed nations? that have already come to them are a sufficient deterrent.
- Al Qamar Ayah 5حِكْمَةُۢ بَـٰلِغَةٌۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ ٥ ?This Quran is? profound ?in? wisdom, but warnings are of no benefit ?to them?.
- Al Qamar Ayah 6فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْۘ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَىْءٍ نُّكُرٍ ٦ So turn away from them ?O Prophet?. ?And wait for? the Day ?when? the caller will summon ?them? for something horrifying.
- Al Qamar Ayah 7خُشَّعًا أَبْصَـٰرُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌ مُّنتَشِرٌ ٧ With eyes downcast, they will come forth from the graves as if they were swarming locusts,
- Al Qamar Ayah 8مُّهْطِعِينَ إِلَى ٱلدَّاعِۖ يَقُولُ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ هَـٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌ ٨ rushing towards the caller. The disbelievers will cry, “This is a difficult Day!”
- Al Qamar Ayah 9۞ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُواْ عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُواْ مَجْنُونٌ وَٱزْدُجِرَ ٩ Before them, the people of Noah denied ?the truth? and rejected Our servant, calling ?him? insane. And he was intimidated.
- Al Qamar Ayah 10فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَغْلُوبٌ فَٱنتَصِرْ ١٠ So he cried out to his Lord, “I am helpless, so help ?me?!”
- Al Qamar Ayah 11فَفَتَحْنَآ أَبْوَٲبَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٍ مُّنْهَمِرٍ ١١ So We opened the gates of the sky with pouring rain,
- Al Qamar Ayah 12وَفَجَّرْنَا ٱلْأَرْضَ عُيُونًا فَٱلْتَقَى ٱلْمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ ١٢ and caused the earth to burst with springs, so the waters met for a fate already set.
- Al Qamar Ayah 13وَحَمَلْنَـٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلْوَٲحٍ وَدُسُرٍ ١٣ We carried him on that ?Ark made? of planks and nails,
- Al Qamar Ayah 14تَجْرِى بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَآءً لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ ١٤ sailing under Our ?watchful? Eyes—a ?fair? punishment on behalf of the one ?they? denied.
- Al Qamar Ayah 15وَلَقَد تَّرَكْنَـٰهَآ ءَايَةً فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ١٥ We certainly left this as a sign. So is there anyone who will be mindful?
- Al Qamar Ayah 16فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ١٦ Then how ?dreadful? were My punishment and warnings!
- Al Qamar Ayah 17وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ١٧ And We have certainly made the Quran easy to remember. So is there anyone who will be mindful?
- Al Qamar Ayah 18كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ ١٨ ’?d ?also? rejected ?the truth?. Then how ?dreadful? were My punishment and warnings!
- Al Qamar Ayah 19إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِى يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ مُّسْتَمِرٍّ ١٩ Indeed, We sent against them a furious wind, on a day of unrelenting misery,
- Al Qamar Ayah 20تَنزِعُ ٱلنَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ مُّنقَعِرٍ ٢٠ that snatched people up, leaving them like trunks of uprooted palm trees.
القمر which is spelled Surah Al Qamar in english has meaning The Moon is placed at number 54 in the Quran. This surah that contains 55 number of ayah, started on page 528 & ends on page 531 in the Holy Quran.
القمر is part of & given to prophet Muhammad as the number 37 in the order of Quran revelation.
