- Al Layl Ayah 1وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ ١ By the night when it covers,
- Al Layl Ayah 2وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ ٢ and the day when it shines!
- Al Layl Ayah 3وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ ٣ And by ?the One? Who created male and female!
- Al Layl Ayah 4إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ ٤ Surely the ends you strive for are diverse.
- Al Layl Ayah 5فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ ٥ As for the one who is charitable, mindful ?of Allah?,
- Al Layl Ayah 6وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ٦ and ?firmly? believes in the finest reward,
- Al Layl Ayah 7فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ٧ We will facilitate for them the Way of Ease.
- Al Layl Ayah 8وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ ٨ And as for the one who is stingy, indifferent ?to Allah?,
- Al Layl Ayah 9وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ٩ and ?staunchly? denies the finest reward,
- Al Layl Ayah 10فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ ١٠ We will facilitate for them the path of hardship.
- Al Layl Ayah 11وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ ١١ And their wealth will be of no benefit to them when they tumble ?into Hell?.
- Al Layl Ayah 12إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ ١٢ It is certainly upon Us ?alone? to show ?the way to? guidance.
- Al Layl Ayah 13وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْأَخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ ١٣ And surely to Us ?alone? belong this life and the next.
- Al Layl Ayah 14فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ ١٤ And so I have warned you of a raging Fire,
- Al Layl Ayah 15لَا يَصْلَـٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْأَشْقَى ١٥ in which none will burn except the most wretched—
- Al Layl Ayah 16ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ١٦ who deny and turn away.
- Al Layl Ayah 17وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى ١٧ But the righteous will be spared from it—
- Al Layl Ayah 18ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ ١٨ who donate ?some of? their wealth only to purify themselves,
- Al Layl Ayah 19وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰٓ ١٩ not in return for someone’s favours,
- Al Layl Ayah 20إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ ٢٠ but seeking the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High.
- Al Layl Ayah 21وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ ٢١ They will certainly be pleased.
الليل which is spelled Surah Al Layl in english has meaning The Night is placed at number 92 in the Quran. This surah that contains 21 number of ayah, started on page 595 & ends on page 596 in the Holy Quran.
الليل is part of & given to prophet Muhammad as the number 9 in the order of Quran revelation.
