- Al Jathiyah Ayah 1حمٓ ١ ?â-Mim.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 2تَنزِيلُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ ٢ The revelation of this Book is from Allah—the Almighty, All-Wise.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 3إِنَّ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَأَيَـٰتٍ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٣ Surely in ?the creation of? the heavens and the earth are signs for the believers.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 4وَفِى خَلْقِكُمْ وَمَا يَبُثُّ مِن دَآبَّةٍ ءَايَـٰتٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ ٤ And in your own creation, and whatever living beings He dispersed, are signs for people of sure faith.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 5وَٱخْتِلَـٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مِن رِّزْقٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَتَصْرِيفِ ٱلرِّيَـٰحِ ءَايَـٰتٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ ٥ And ?in? the alternation of the day and the night, the provision sent down from the skies by Allah—reviving the earth after its death—and the shifting of the winds, are signs for people of understanding.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 6تِلْكَ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱللَّهِ نَتْلُوهَا عَلَيْكَ بِٱلْحَقِّۖ فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثِۭ بَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ وَءَايَـٰتِهِۦ يُؤْمِنُونَ ٦ These are Allah’s revelations which We recite to you ?O Prophet? in truth. So what message will they believe in after ?denying? Allah and His revelations?
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 7وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ ٧ Woe to every sinful liar.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 8يَسْمَعُ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَأَن لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَاۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ ٨ They hear Allah’s revelations recited to them, then persist ?in denial? arrogantly as if they did not hear them. So give them good news of a painful punishment.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 9وَإِذَا عَلِمَ مِنْ ءَايَـٰتِنَا شَيْــًٔا ٱتَّخَذَهَا هُزُوًاۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ ٩ And whenever they learn anything of Our revelations, they make a mockery of it. It is they who will suffer a humiliating punishment.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 10مِّن وَرَآئِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُۖ وَلَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُم مَّا كَسَبُواْ شَيْــًٔا وَلَا مَا ٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْلِيَآءَۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ ١٠ Awaiting them is Hell. Their ?worldly? gains will not be of any benefit to them whatsoever, nor will those protectors they have taken besides Allah. And they will suffer a tremendous punishment.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 11هَـٰذَا هُدًىۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مِّن رِّجْزٍ أَلِيمٌ ١١ This ?Quran? is ?true? guidance. And those who deny their Lord’s revelations will suffer the ?worst? torment of agonizing pain.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 12۞ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلْبَحْرَ لِتَجْرِىَ ٱلْفُلْكُ فِيهِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَلِتَبْتَغُواْ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ ١٢ Allah is the One Who has subjected the sea for you so that ships may sail upon it by His command, and that you may seek His bounty, and that perhaps you will be grateful.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 13وَسَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مِّنْهُۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٲلِكَ لَأَيَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ١٣ He ?also? subjected for you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth—all by His grace. Surely in this are signs for people who reflect.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 14قُل لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يَغْفِرُواْ لِلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ أَيَّامَ ٱللَّهِ لِيَجْزِىَ قَوْمَۢا بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَ ١٤ ?O Prophet!? Tell the believers to forgive those who do not fear Allah’s days ?of torment?, so that He will reward each group for what they used to commit.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 15مَنْ عَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًا فَلِنَفْسِهِۦۖ وَمَنْ أَسَآءَ فَعَلَيْهَاۖ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ ١٥ Whoever does good, it is to their own benefit. And whoever does evil, it is to their own loss. Then to your Lord you will ?all? be returned.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 16وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٲٓءِيلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقْنَـٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ وَفَضَّلْنَـٰهُمْ عَلَى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ١٦ Indeed, We gave the Children of Israel the Scripture, wisdom, and prophethood; granted them good, lawful provisions; and favoured them above the others.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 17وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُم بَيِّنَـٰتٍ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْرِۖ فَمَا ٱخْتَلَفُوٓاْ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعِلْمُ بَغْيَۢا بَيْنَهُمْۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِى بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ ١٧ We ?also? gave them clear commandments regarding ?their? faith. But it was not until knowledge came to them that they differed out of mutual envy. Surely your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgment regarding their differences.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 18ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَـٰكَ عَلَىٰ شَرِيعَةٍ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ فَٱتَّبِعْهَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ١٨ Now We have set you ?O Prophet? on the ?clear? Way of faith. So follow it, and do not follow the desires of those who do not know ?the truth?.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 19إِنَّهُمْ لَن يُغْنُواْ عَنكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْــًٔاۚ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍۖ وَٱللَّهُ وَلِىُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ ١٩ They certainly can be of no benefit to you against Allah whatsoever. Surely the wrongdoers are patrons of each other, whereas Allah is the Patron of the righteous.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 20هَـٰذَا بَصَـٰٓئِرُ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ ٢٠ This ?Quran? is an insight for humanity—a guide and mercy for people of sure faith.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 21أَمْ حَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱجْتَرَحُواْ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔـاتِ أَن نَّجْعَلَهُمْ كَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ سَوَآءً مَّحْيَاهُمْ وَمَمَاتُهُمْۚ سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ ٢١ Or do those who commit evil deeds ?simply? think that We will make them equal—in their life and after their death—to those who believe and do good? How wrong is their judgment!
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 22وَخَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلِتُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسِۭ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ ٢٢ For Allah created the heavens and the earth for a purpose, so that every soul may be paid back for what it has committed. And none will be wronged.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 23أَفَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَـٰهَهُۥ هَوَٮٰهُ وَأَضَلَّهُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِۦ وَقَلْبِهِۦ وَجَعَلَ عَلَىٰ بَصَرِهِۦ غِشَـٰوَةً فَمَن يَهْدِيهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱللَّهِۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ٢٣ Have you seen ?O Prophet? those who have taken their own desires as their god? ?And so? Allah left them to stray knowingly, sealed their hearing and hearts, and placed a cover on their sight. Who then can guide them after Allah? Will you ?all? not then be mindful?
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 24وَقَالُواْ مَا هِىَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا ٱلدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا يُهْلِكُنَآ إِلَّا ٱلدَّهْرُۚ وَمَا لَهُم بِذَٲلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَظُنُّونَ ٢٤ And they argue, “There is nothing beyond our worldly life. We die; others are born. And nothing destroys us but ?the passage of? time.” Yet they have no knowledge ?in support? of this ?claim?. They only speculate.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 25وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتُنَا بَيِّنَـٰتٍ مَّا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُواْ ٱئْتُواْ بِـَٔـابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ ٢٥ And whenever Our clear revelations are recited to them, their only argument is to say: “Bring our forefathers back, if what you say is true!”
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 26قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يُحْيِيكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يَجْمَعُكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٢٦ Say, ?O Prophet,? “?It is? Allah ?Who? gives you life, then causes you to die, then will gather you ?all? on the Day of Judgment, about which there is no doubt. But most people do not know.”
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 27وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِۚ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَخْسَرُ ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ ٢٧ To Allah ?alone? belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. On the Day the Hour will be established, the people of falsehood will then be in ?total? loss.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 28وَتَرَىٰ كُلَّ أُمَّةٍ جَاثِيَةًۚ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ تُدْعَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ كِتَـٰبِهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ٢٨ And you will see every faith-community on its knees. Every community will be summoned to its record ?of deeds?. ?They all will be told,? “This Day you will be rewarded for what you used to do.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 29هَـٰذَا كِتَـٰبُنَا يَنطِقُ عَلَيْكُم بِٱلْحَقِّۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنسِخُ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ٢٩ This record of Ours speaks the truth about you. Indeed, We always had your deeds recorded ?by the angels?.”
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 30فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦۚ ذَٲلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْمُبِينُ ٣٠ As for those who believed and did good, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. That is ?truly? the absolute triumph.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 31وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَفَلَمْ تَكُنْ ءَايَـٰتِى تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ ٣١ And as for those who disbelieved, ?they will be told,? “Were My revelations not recited to you, yet you acted arrogantly and were a wicked people?
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 32وَإِذَا قِيلَ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا قُلْتُم مَّا نَدْرِى مَا ٱلسَّاعَةُ إِن نَّظُنُّ إِلَّا ظَنًّا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَ ٣٢ And whenever it was said ?to you?, ‘Surely Allah’s promise ?of judgment? is true and there is no doubt about the Hour,’ you said ?mockingly?, ‘We do not know what the Hour is! We think it is no more than speculation, and we are not convinced ?that it will ever come?.’”
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 33وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔـاتُ مَا عَمِلُواْ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ٣٣ And the evil ?consequences? of their deeds will unfold before them, and they will be overwhelmed by what they used to ridicule.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 34وَقِيلَ ٱلْيَوْمَ نَنسَـٰكُمْ كَمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَـٰذَا وَمَأْوَٮٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن نَّـٰصِرِينَ ٣٤ It will be said, “This Day We will neglect you as you neglected the meeting of this Day of yours! Your home will be the Fire, and you will have no helpers.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 35ذَٲلِكُم بِأَنَّكُمُ ٱتَّخَذْتُمْ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ هُزُوًا وَغَرَّتْكُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٲةُ ٱلدُّنْيَاۚ فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا يُخْرَجُونَ مِنْهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ ٣٥ This is because you made a mockery of Allah’s revelations, and were deluded by ?your? worldly life.” So ?from? that Day ?on? they will not be taken out of the Fire, nor will they be allowed to appease ?their Lord?.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 36فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْحَمْدُ رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَرَبِّ ٱلْأَرْضِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ٣٦ So all praise is for Allah—Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, Lord of all worlds.
- Al Jathiyah Ayah 37وَلَهُ ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٣٧ To Him belongs ?all? Majesty in the heavens and the earth. And He is the Almighty, All-Wise.
الجاثية which is spelled Surah Al Jathiyah in english has meaning Crouching is placed at number 45 in the Quran. This surah that contains 37 number of ayah, started on page 499 & ends on page 502 in the Holy Quran.
الجاثية is part of & given to prophet Muhammad as the number 65 in the order of Quran revelation.
