- Al Fajr Ayah 1وَٱلْفَجْرِ ١ By the dawn,
- Al Fajr Ayah 2وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ ٢ and the ten nights,
- Al Fajr Ayah 3وَٱلشَّفْعِ وَٱلْوَتْرِ ٣ and the even and the odd,
- Al Fajr Ayah 4وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَسْرِ ٤ and the night when it passes!
- Al Fajr Ayah 5هَلْ فِى ذَٲلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِى حِجْرٍ ٥ Is all this ?not? a sufficient oath for those who have sense?
- Al Fajr Ayah 6أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ ٦ Did you not see how your Lord dealt with ’?d—
- Al Fajr Ayah 7إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلْعِمَادِ ٧ ?the people? of Iram—with ?their? great stature,
- Al Fajr Ayah 8ٱلَّتِى لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِى ٱلْبِلَـٰدِ ٨ unmatched in any other land;
- Al Fajr Ayah 9وَثَمُودَ ٱلَّذِينَ جَابُواْ ٱلصَّخْرَ بِٱلْوَادِ ٩ and Thamûd who carved ?their homes into? the rocks in the ?Stone? Valley;
- Al Fajr Ayah 10وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِى ٱلْأَوْتَادِ ١٠ and the Pharaoh of mighty structures?
- Al Fajr Ayah 11ٱلَّذِينَ طَغَوْاْ فِى ٱلْبِلَـٰدِ ١١ They all transgressed throughout the land,
- Al Fajr Ayah 12فَأَكْثَرُواْ فِيهَا ٱلْفَسَادَ ١٢ spreading much corruption there.
- Al Fajr Ayah 13فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ ١٣ So your Lord unleashed on them a scourge of punishment.
- Al Fajr Ayah 14إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِٱلْمِرْصَادِ ١٤ ?For? your Lord is truly vigilant.
- Al Fajr Ayah 15فَأَمَّا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ إِذَا مَا ٱبْتَلَـٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَأَكْرَمَهُۥ وَنَعَّمَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّىٓ أَكْرَمَنِ ١٥ Now, whenever a human being is tested by their Lord through ?His? generosity and blessings, they boast, “My Lord has ?deservedly? honoured me!”
- Al Fajr Ayah 16وَأَمَّآ إِذَا مَا ٱبْتَلَـٰهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّىٓ أَهَـٰنَنِ ١٦ But when He tests them by limiting their provision, they protest, “My Lord has ?undeservedly? humiliated me!”
- Al Fajr Ayah 17كَلَّاۖ بَل لَّا تُكْرِمُونَ ٱلْيَتِيمَ ١٧ Absolutely not! In fact, you are not ?even? gracious to the orphan,
- Al Fajr Ayah 18وَلَا تَحَـٰٓضُّونَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ ١٨ nor do you urge one another to feed the poor.
- Al Fajr Ayah 19وَتَأْكُلُونَ ٱلتُّرَاثَ أَكْلاً لَّمًّا ١٩ And you devour ?others’? inheritance greedily,
- Al Fajr Ayah 21كَلَّآ إِذَا دُكَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّا ٢١ Enough! When the earth is entirely crushed over and over,
- Al Fajr Ayah 20وَتُحِبُّونَ ٱلْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا ٢٠ and love wealth fervently.
- Al Fajr Ayah 22وَجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَٱلْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّا ٢٢ and your Lord comes ?to judge? with angels, rank upon rank,
- Al Fajr Ayah 23وَجِاْىٓءَ يَوْمَئِذِۭ بِجَهَنَّمَۚ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ ٢٣ and Hell is brought forth on that Day—this is when every ?disbelieving? person will remember ?their own sins?. But what is the use of remembering then?
- Al Fajr Ayah 24يَقُولُ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِى ٢٤ They will cry, “I wish I had sent forth ?something good? for my ?true? life.”
- Al Fajr Ayah 25فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌ ٢٥ On that Day He will punish ?them? severely, like no other,
- Al Fajr Ayah 26وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌ ٢٦ and bind ?them? tightly, like no other.
- Al Fajr Ayah 27يَـٰٓأَيَّتُهَا ٱلنَّفْسُ ٱلْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ ٢٧ ?Allah will say to the righteous,? “O tranquil soul!
- Al Fajr Ayah 28ٱرْجِعِىٓ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةً ٢٨ Return to your Lord, well pleased ?with Him? and well pleasing ?to Him?.
- Al Fajr Ayah 29فَٱدْخُلِى فِى عِبَـٰدِى ٢٩ So join My servants,
- Al Fajr Ayah 30وَٱدْخُلِى جَنَّتِى ٣٠ and enter My Paradise.”
الفجر which is spelled Surah Al Fajr in english has meaning The Dawn is placed at number 89 in the Quran. This surah that contains 30 number of ayah, started on page 593 & ends on page 594 in the Holy Quran.
الفجر is part of & given to prophet Muhammad as the number 10 in the order of Quran revelation.
