Surah Al A’la

بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ

  • Al A’la Ayah 1
    سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى ١ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High,
  • Al A’la Ayah 2
    ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ٢ Who created and ?perfectly? fashioned ?all?,
  • Al A’la Ayah 3
    وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ ٣ and Who ordained precisely and inspired accordingly,
  • Al A’la Ayah 4
    وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ ٤ and Who brings forth ?green? pasture,
  • Al A’la Ayah 5
    فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ ٥ then reduces it to withered chaff.
  • Al A’la Ayah 6
    سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ ٦ We will have you recite ?the Quran, O Prophet,? so you will not forget ?any of it?,
  • Al A’la Ayah 7
    إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ‌ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ ٧ unless Allah wills otherwise. He surely knows what is open and what is hidden.
  • Al A’la Ayah 8
    وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ٨ We will facilitate for you the Way of Ease.
  • Al A’la Ayah 9
    فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ ٩ So ?always? remind ?with the Quran?—?even? if the reminder is beneficial ?only to some?.
  • Al A’la Ayah 10
    سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ ١٠ Those in awe ?of Allah? will be mindful ?of it?.
  • Al A’la Ayah 11
    وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى ١١ But it will be shunned by the most wretched,
  • Al A’la Ayah 12
    ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ ١٢ who will burn in the greatest Fire,
  • Al A’la Ayah 13
    ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ ١٣ where they will not ?be able to? live or die.
  • Al A’la Ayah 14
    قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ ١٤ Successful indeed are those who purify themselves,
  • Al A’la Ayah 15
    وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ ١٥ remember the Name of their Lord, and pray.
  • Al A’la Ayah 16
    بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٲةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا ١٦ But you ?deniers only? prefer the life of this world,
  • Al A’la Ayah 17
    وَٱلْأَخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ ١٧ even though the Hereafter is far better and more lasting.
  • Al A’la Ayah 18
    إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ١٨ This is certainly ?mentioned? in the earlier Scriptures—
  • Al A’la Ayah 19
    صُحُفِ إِبْرَٲهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ ١٩ the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

الأعلى which is spelled Surah Al A'la in english has meaning The Most High is placed at number 87 in the Quran. This surah that contains 19 number of ayah, started on page 591 & ends on page 592 in the Holy Quran.

الأعلى is part of & given to prophet Muhammad as the number 8 in the order of Quran revelation.
