- Ad Dukhan Ayah 9بَلْ هُمْ فِى شَكٍّ يَلْعَبُونَ ٩ In fact, they are in doubt, amusing themselves.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 1حمٓ ١ ?â-Mim.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 2وَٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ ٢ By the clear Book!
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 3إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةٍ مُّبَـٰرَكَةٍۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ ٣ Indeed, We sent it down on a blessed night, for We always warn ?against evil?.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 4فِيهَا يُفْرَقُ كُلُّ أَمْرٍ حَكِيمٍ ٤ On that night every matter of wisdom is ordained
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 5أَمْرًا مِّنْ عِندِنَآۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ ٥ by a command from Us, for We have always sent ?messengers?
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 6رَحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٦ as a mercy from your Lord. He ?alone? is truly the All-Hearing, All-Knowing—
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 7رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ ٧ the Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything in between, if only you had sure faith.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 8لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُۖ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٨ There is no god ?worthy of worship? except Him. He ?alone? gives life and causes death. ?He is? your Lord, and the Lord of your forefathers.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 10فَٱرْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِى ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِدُخَانٍ مُّبِينٍ ١٠ Wait then ?O Prophet? for the day ?when? the sky will be veiled in haze, clearly visible,
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 11يَغْشَى ٱلنَّاسَۖ هَـٰذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ١١ overwhelming the people. ?They will cry,? “This is a painful torment.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 12رَّبَّنَا ٱكْشِفْ عَنَّا ٱلْعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤْمِنُونَ ١٢ Our Lord! Remove ?this? torment from us, ?and? we will certainly believe.”
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 13أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ وَقَدْ جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ ١٣ How can they be reminded when a messenger has already come to them, making things clear,
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 14ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْاْ عَنْهُ وَقَالُواْ مُعَلَّمٌ مَّجْنُونٌ ١٤ then they turned away from him, saying, “A madman, taught by others!”?
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 15إِنَّا كَاشِفُواْ ٱلْعَذَابِ قَلِيلاًۚ إِنَّكُمْ عَآئِدُونَ ١٥ Indeed, We will remove ?that? torment for a while, and you ?Meccans? will return ?to disbelief?.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 16يَوْمَ نَبْطِشُ ٱلْبَطْشَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰٓ إِنَّا مُنتَقِمُونَ ١٦ ?Then? on the Day We will deal ?you? the fiercest blow, We will surely inflict punishment.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 17۞ وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ كَرِيمٌ ١٧ Indeed, before them We tested Pharaoh’s people: a noble messenger came to them,
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 18أَنْ أَدُّوٓاْ إِلَىَّ عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ ١٨ ?proclaiming,? “Hand over the servants of Allah to me. I am truly a trustworthy messenger to you.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 19وَأَن لَّا تَعْلُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّىٓ ءَاتِيكُم بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ ١٩ And do not be arrogant with Allah. I have certainly come to you with a compelling proof.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 20وَإِنِّى عُذْتُ بِرَبِّى وَرَبِّكُمْ أَن تَرْجُمُونِ ٢٠ And indeed, I seek refuge with my Lord and your Lord so you do not stone me ?to death?.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 21وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْمِنُواْ لِى فَٱعْتَزِلُونِ ٢١ ?But? if you do not believe me, then let me be.”
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 22فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمٌ مُّجْرِمُونَ ٢٢ Ultimately, he cried out to his Lord, “These are a wicked people!”
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 23فَأَسْرِ بِعِبَادِى لَيْلاً إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ ٢٣ ?Allah responded,? “Leave with My servants at night, for you will surely be pursued.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 24وَٱتْرُكِ ٱلْبَحْرَ رَهْوًاۖ إِنَّهُمْ جُندٌ مُّغْرَقُونَ ٢٤ And leave the sea parted, for they are certainly an army bound to drown.”
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 25كَمْ تَرَكُواْ مِن جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ ٢٥ ?Imagine? how many gardens and springs the tyrants left behind,
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 26وَزُرُوعٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ ٢٦ as well as ?various? crops and splendid residences,
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 27وَنَعْمَةٍ كَانُواْ فِيهَا فَـٰكِهِينَ ٢٧ and luxuries which they fully enjoyed.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 28كَذَٲلِكَۖ وَأَوْرَثْنَـٰهَا قَوْمًا ءَاخَرِينَ ٢٨ So it was. And We awarded it ?all? to another people.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 29فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُنظَرِينَ ٢٩ Neither heaven nor earth wept over them, nor was their fate delayed.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 30وَلَقَدْ نَجَّيْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٲٓءِيلَ مِنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْمُهِينِ ٣٠ And We certainly delivered the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 31مِن فِرْعَوْنَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَالِيًا مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ ٣١ of Pharaoh. He was truly a tyrant, a transgressor.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 32وَلَقَدِ ٱخْتَرْنَـٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍ عَلَى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ٣٢ And indeed, We chose the Israelites knowingly above the others.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 33وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَيَـٰتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَـٰٓؤٌاْ مُّبِينٌ ٣٣ And We showed them signs in which there was a clear test.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 34إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَيَقُولُونَ ٣٤ Indeed, these ?Meccans? say,
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 35إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّا مَوْتَتُنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ ٣٥ “There is nothing beyond our first death, and we will never be resurrected.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 36فَأْتُواْ بِـَٔـابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ ٣٦ Bring ?back? our forefathers, if what you say is true.”
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 37أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْۚ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمْۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ مُجْرِمِينَ ٣٧ Are they superior to the people of Tubba’ and those before them? We destroyed them ?all?, ?for? they were truly wicked.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 38وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَـٰعِبِينَ ٣٨ We did not create the heavens and the earth and everything in between for sport.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 39مَا خَلَقْنَـٰهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٣٩ We only created them for a purpose, but most of these ?pagans? do not know.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 40إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ مِيقَـٰتُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ٤٠ Surely the Day of ?Final? Decision is the time appointed for all—
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 41يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِى مَوْلًى عَن مَّوْلًى شَيْــًٔا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ ٤١ the Day no kith or kin will be of benefit to another whatsoever, nor will they be helped,
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 42إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٤٢ except those shown mercy by Allah. He is truly the Almighty, Most Merciful.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 43إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ ٱلزَّقُّومِ ٤٣ Surely ?the fruit of? the tree of Zaqqûm
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 44طَعَامُ ٱلْأَثِيمِ ٤٤ will be the food of the evildoer.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 46كَغَلْىِ ٱلْحَمِيمِ ٤٦ like the boiling of hot water.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 45كَٱلْمُهْلِ يَغْلِى فِى ٱلْبُطُونِ ٤٥ Like molten metal, it will boil in the bellies
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 47خُذُوهُ فَٱعْتِلُوهُ إِلَىٰ سَوَآءِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ٤٧ ?It will be said,? “Seize them and drag them into the depths of the Hellfire.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 48ثُمَّ صُبُّواْ فَوْقَ رَأْسِهِۦ مِنْ عَذَابِ ٱلْحَمِيمِ ٤٨ Then pour over their heads the torment of boiling water.”
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 49ذُقْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْكَرِيمُ ٤٩ ?The wicked will be told,? “Taste this. You mighty, noble one!
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 50إِنَّ هَـٰذَا مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَمْتَرُونَ ٥٠ This is truly what you ?all? used to doubt.”
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 51إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى مَقَامٍ أَمِينٍ ٥١ Indeed, the righteous will be in a secure place,
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 52فِى جَنَّـٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ ٥٢ amid Gardens and springs,
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 53يَلْبَسُونَ مِن سُندُسٍ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ ٥٣ dressed in fine silk and rich brocade, facing one another.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 54كَذَٲلِكَ وَزَوَّجْنَـٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍ ٥٤ So it will be. And We will pair them to maidens with gorgeous eyes.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 57فَضْلاً مِّن رَّبِّكَۚ ذَٲلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ٥٧ as ?an act of? grace from your Lord. That is ?truly? the ultimate triumph.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 56لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا ٱلْمَوْتَ إِلَّا ٱلْمَوْتَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰۖ وَوَقَـٰهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ٥٦ There they will never taste death, beyond the first death. And He will protect them from the punishment of the Hellfire—
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 55يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِكُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ ءَامِنِينَ ٥٥ There they will call for every fruit in serenity.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 58فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَـٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ ٥٨ Indeed, We have made this ?Quran? easy in your own language ?O Prophet? so perhaps they will be mindful.
- Ad Dukhan Ayah 59فَٱرْتَقِبْ إِنَّهُم مُّرْتَقِبُونَ ٥٩ Wait then! They too are certainly waiting.
الدخان which is spelled Surah Ad Dukhan in english has meaning The Smoke is placed at number 44 in the Quran. This surah that contains 59 number of ayah, started on page 496 & ends on page 498 in the Holy Quran.
الدخان is part of & given to prophet Muhammad as the number 64 in the order of Quran revelation.
